Sensory Garden<\/em><\/strong><\/h1>\n

A Sensory Garden is not just for the blind. It is for everyone and is designed to encourage people to use their 5 senses:<\/h4>\n

Sight – Hearing – Smell – Touch – Taste<\/h4>\n

[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][et_pb_row column_structure=”1_2,1_2″ _builder_version=”4.6.6″ _module_preset=”default”][et_pb_column type=”1_2″ _builder_version=”4.6.6″ _module_preset=”default”][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.6.6″ _module_preset=”default” header_4_text_color=”#fc0000″]The senses will be attracted in the garden in the following ways:<\/p>\n

Sight<\/h4>\n

plenty of colours.<\/p>\n

Hearing<\/h4>\n

rustling plants, running water and plants that attract birds and other wildlife.<\/p>\n

Smell<\/h4>\n

plants that that have a strong perfume at different times of the day.<\/p>\n

Touch<\/h4>\n

different ground textures and plants with various textures in their leaves and stems.<\/p>\n

Taste<\/h4>\n

unfortunately it would be unwise to let visitors taste the plants even though there are culinary herbs.<\/p>\n

The design is sympathetic to the age and structure of the church and incorporates traditional plants such as lily of the valley, orange blossom and honeysuckle to name just a few.[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=”1_2″ _builder_version=”4.6.6″ _module_preset=”default”][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.6.6″ _module_preset=”default”]<\/p>\n
